Alicia is a young and versatile British pianist based in London. As a soloist, she regularly tours UK music clubs and has performed at St John’s Smith Square and the Purcell Room at the Southbank Centre in London. In 2013, Alicia made her London concerto debut playing Grieg’s Piano Concerto at St John’s Smith Square with the Royal Holloway Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Christopher Tarrant. She has recently performed the concerto again with the Lewes Concert Orchestra under Ian McCrae to great applause. Future concerto engagements include Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4. Alicia currently studies with the Italian concert pianist Gabriele Baldocci at Trinity Laban Conservatoire where she holds the Trinity College London scholarship. She was recently awarded the Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction and looks forward to continuing her studies at the conservatoire on the Postgraduate Artist Diploma course. In 2013, she graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a Bachelor of Music degree. She was twice winner of the annual Concerto Competition held at Royal Holloway and received the Dame Felicity Lott Bursary awarded to a final year student showing promise in a performance career. During her school years, Alicia studied piano and violin at The Royal College of Music Junior Department and then took piano lessons with Nigel Clayton whilst at university. Her love for chamber music has led to forming a duo partnership with mezzo-soprano Emma Lewis, and together they reached the Final of the English Song Competition. She has participated in masterclasses with Pascal Roge, Martino Tirimo, Eugene Asti, Margaret Fingerhut and the Barbican Piano Trio. Alicia also has a growing curiosity for cross-art and multi-media collaborations and hopes to explore this avenue in future projects. (November 2015)
