Eugenie Dalgleish is 23 years old and is in high demand as a violin soloist, teacher and advocate of the arts. She completed her Master of Studies degree in Music at Keble College, University of Oxford in July 2023. During this time, she won the Keble College Arts Leadership Award and was the recipient of multiple music scholarships. Eugenie has taken part in solo violin masterclasses with Maxim Vengerov, Krzysztof Smietana and Alina Ibragimova.

As a soloist, Eugenie has given many concerts across England. These include performances of Mendelssohn's violin concerto with Lichfield Sinfonia and Watford Symphony Orchestra, Barber's violin concerto with Purcell School Sinfonia, and Beethoven’s violin concerto with East Coast Sinfonietta. Eugenie also performed Barber’s violin concerto for the BBC TV programme ‘Melody and Friends’. Eugenie has given solo recitals at the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room, the Holywell Music Room and various chapels in Oxford. Eugenie is also an accomplished Chamber musician. Her string quartet has performed for King Charles III at Sandringham, at the RAH’s Elgar Room, and for Sir John Major at Bush House. Notable performances in the coming 2024/25 season include Sibelius’ violin concerto with Hitchin Symphony Orchestra and recitals at the Reform Club and St George’s Hanover Square in London.

Eugenie utilises Instagram (@eugeniedalgleishviolin) to create an accessible environment for classical music and really enjoys this aspect of being a musician. She also has a joint Instagram (@twoviolinsisters) with her violinist younger sister, Henrietta. From 23 March 2020 they busked online for over 1,000 days to raise money for the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal, learning a new violin duet every day and posting a video of themselves performing. Eugenie is kindly sponsored by Thomastik-Infeld strings. (April 2025)
